Seaside American Association of University Women awards scholarships

The Seaside American Association of University Women Scholarship Foundation has awarded $15,000 in scholarships to local women for the upcoming school year.

Seaside High School graduates Leah Boles, Ashley Milian Pamatz and Lia Martinez received the June Stromberg First Generation Scholarship. Warrenton High School graduate Melony Zamora also received the scholarship.

STEM scholarships were also awarded to Abby Nofield, of Seaside; Lily Reed, of Astoria; Hannah Wirrkala, of Long Beach, Washington; and Adamari Anguiano-Ortiz, of Gearhart. Each scholarship totaled $1,000.

The Seaside American Association of University Women also awarded a $3,000 scholarship to Jennifer Ginn-Bennett, of Westport. The scholarship is designated for women returning to school after a period of absence.
