Alexander Teubner played safety for Boise State.

Alexander Teubner graduated from Seaside High School as one of the best football players in the school’s history at both running back and defensive back.

He was named Cowapa Offensive Player of the Year in both 2017 and 2018 after rushing for over 4,000 yards in his final two seasons. He was also named three-time All-Cowapa League First Team at defensive back.

After graduation, he walked on at Boise State University, where he carved out a career as a three-year letterman and team captain in his final season.

Teubner’s collegiate career ended on New Year’s Eve with a 31-14 loss to Penn State in the quarterfinals of the College Football Playoff.

The former Seagull will leave behind a nice career at Boise State, just like he did at Seaside.

Teubner was twice named Honorable Mention-All Mountain West (2023, 2024), Mountain West Championship game Defensive Most Valuable Player (2023) and National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society (2023-2024). He also was twice named College Sports Communicators Academic All-District (2022, 2023), four-time Academic All-Mountain West (Fall 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023) and five-time Mountain West Scholar-Athlete (2019-2020, 2020-2021, 2021-2022, 2022-2023 and 2023-2024.)

On the field, Teubner played 54 games at safety. He accumulated 197 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, two sacks, two interceptions, 10 passes defended, three fumble recoveries and three forced fumbles during his six-year college career.

Teubner acknowledged the end of his time at Boise State with an Instagram post: “All good things come to an end. Came to Boise to make a football team, left with a family.”
