County launches Trusted Elections campaign

Clatsop County is launching a Trusted Elections campaign to highlight its commitment to fair elections.
In Oregon, each county is responsible for keeping voter registrations updated. Clatsop County elections staff do this by regularly reviewing obituaries, death notices and notices from other states. A voter’s registration can be canceled due to death, or if a voter has a more recent registration in another state. A voter’s registration may be declared inactive due to an undeliverable ballot, a challenged ballot or no voting or registration activity in the past 10 years.
Inactive voters can update their registration until 8 p.m. on Election Day. More information on the Nov. 5 election can be found online on the county’s website.
