John Langue

John “Johnny” Langue, 85, of Mesquite, Nevada, passed away on Sept. 3.

He graduated from Hillsboro High School with the Class of l957. He started John Langue Construction Co. in 1967.

After moving to Seaside in 1979, he built pre-sold custom homes from the north, on the Long Beach Peninsula in Washington state, and the south to Manzanita.

He enjoyed fishing on the many rivers and streams close to home.

As a member of the Astoria Golf & Country Club, he played golf for many years, and became an avid “rainy day” reader.

The Langues moved to La Quinta, California, in 1999, and to Mesquite in 2005.

After moving to Mesquite, John became an avid fan of exploring the Mohave Desert areas of Nevada, Arizona and Utah.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judie; three brothers, George, Gene and Lee; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jules Langue and Mary Rothlisberger.
