Gleva Mae Wilcoxen was born on May 22, 1935, in Klamath Falls, to Sarah Marvel Cantrall and Donald Sterling Holmes.

She was married to Donald Jessie Wilcoxen on Dec. 24, 1951, and they were married for nearly 70 years when Donald passed away in September 2021.

They had five children together, and Gleva is survived by her three children and their families: Kathy Barnett, her son, Donald, and his family; Dani Rinearson, her husband, Tom, and their children, Leif and Megan, and grandchildren; and Darren Wilcoxen, his wife, Carrie, and their children, Mollie, Cole and Blake, and grandchildren. She also cherished her countless memorable connections and relationships.

Gleva spent her childhood in Elsie, and graduated from Jewell High School. She spoke fondly of her memories of being a state champion hog showman, and her memories growing up in the Elsie-Jewell area.

She continued her education through Linn-Benton Community College, and one of her favorite jobs she recalled was working in a library. Her joys included connecting with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, being a member of her local church, as well as enjoying and creating art and music.

Her faith was very important to her, and she continued praying faithfully throughout her life for herself and the people she cared for.
