Chad Allen English, 37, of Seaside, passed away on Friday, July 5, in Phoenix, Arizona.
He was born on March 16, 1987, to Matthew David English and Vivian Jean Torgeson. His father and stepmother Brooke L. English, survive, residing in Seaside. His mother preceded him in death.
Chad attended school in Seaside, and received a general equivalency diploma.
Chad loved the outdoors and traveling. He had a passion for art, poetry and running, and never backed down from an adventure.
He had a smile that would light up the room, always leaving you feeling better about yourself.
You would often find Chad skateboarding down the street, or posting some photo of him in a new place on a new quest.
Chad would always ask how everyone was doing and never ended a call without telling you how much he loved you.
In addition to his father and stepmother, Chad is survived by two children, Dawson English, of Seaside, and Emma Ryan; his three brothers, Adam English, of Seaside, James English, of Astoria, and Korben English, of Seaside; his nephews, Shawn English, of Forest Grove, Payton English, of Warrenton, Jordan English, of Seaside, and Aiden Smith, of Richland, Washington; and niece, Cali English of Forest Grove.
He is also survived by the Bolkan family, of Forest Grove; the Reynolds family, of Oregon City; the Argeris family, of Seaside; grandmothers, Sharon Standring, of Oregon City, and Barbara Hawkins, of Gearhart; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Eric English, and his grandfather, Jack Standring.
A memorial service will be held at Hughes-Ransom Mortuary and Crematory in Seaside at 11 a.m. July 27, followed by a reception at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center in the Necanicum Room.
