Clatsop County is seeking applications for two vacant positions on the countywide budget committee.

Applications are due by 5 p.m. on July 16.

The budget committee is made up of five members who typically meet in May to review the proposed budget. One vacancy is for a term ending June 30, 2025, and the other is for a term ending June 30, 2027.

The ideal candidates will live in District 1 and District 4. District 1 includes Warrenton, Hammond and southwest Astoria and District 4 represents areas south and east of Astoria.

Applications can be submitted online at the county’s website or picked up at the county manager’s office at 800 Exchange St., Suite 410, in Astoria.

The Board of Commissioners will make the appointments.
