‘If I Were Mayor’ contest winners announced

The mayors of Seaside, Gearhart and Cannon Beach announced the winners of this year’s “If I Were Mayor” contest on April 10.
Fourth grade students at Pacific Ridge Elementary School created posters for the contest.
In Seaside and Cannon Beach, Cullan Edwards received first place, Ashanti Velaquez received second place and Isabela Vega placed third.
In Gearhart, Jack Sheesley was awarded first place in the contest. Alexis Chow received second place, and Eleanor Christensen placed third.
