Seaside High School scores at future business leaders conference

Seaside High School Future Business Leaders of America members joined nearly 1,000 students from around the state to compete in nearly 70 different categories at the Oregon Future Business Leaders of America State Conference, held April 4 to April 6. Students also attended workshops, break-out sessions and met business leaders from around the state.

Seaside students had another successful season at the conference, and the results for first, second and third place are as follows:

First place: broadcast journalism, Mya Feeney and Jasmine Schermerhorn; community service project, Bailey Jones, Stella Reeves and Chantrell Lee; digital video production, Tyler Feeney and Kyan Harper; journalism, Morgan Habecker; mobile application development, April Angeles and Aaliyah Flores; and website coding, Aidet Olvera Nolazco, Jlyn Casco and Kaylee Anderson.

Second place: digital video production, Morgan Habecker; mobile application development, Ebony Pedraza, Michelle Aguilera and Amulya Devipriyam; public service announcement, Katrina Salinas, Keira Rodriguez and Hazel Albright; and website design, Layla Varozza and Ella Boles.

Third place: visual design, Maria Herrera and Hillary Milian-Pamatz.

Seaside High School chapter members who finish in the top three will represent Oregon at the National Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, this summer.
