Seaside boys golf continued their strong start to the season with a victory at The Dalles Invitational on March 22.

The Seaside Seagulls won the nine team tournament with five golfers finishing in the first nine spots. Alex Arden led the way for Seaside with an 80, which was good enough for second place overall.

Logan Norman was third overall with an 82. Madden Wunderlich and Xanh Quang tied for seventh with an 88. Diego Sanchez shot a 90.

The Seagulls won with a final team score of 338. Seaside were followed in the scoring by Pendleton (358), Goldendale (360), St. Helens (412), The Dalles (438), Estacada (464), Molalla (468) and Gladstone (527).

“The Dalles is always a great test of golf and we passed with flying colors,” Seaside boys golf head coach Jim Poetsch said in a statement. “Logan and Xanh both PR’ed for the third time in three tournaments. Alex had an eagle on the 523-yard second hole and nearly captured the medalist honor.”

Poetsch added that the team continues to improve every day.
