The Seaside chapter of the American Association of University Women Scholarship Foundation is offering scholarships of up to $3,000 to women in Clatsop and Columbia counties, as well as residents of southwest Washington state, for women starting, returning or continuing school after a gap. Scholarships may be used for tuition, fees and other expenses at college.

This past year, tuition was provided for students seeking a degree in nursing, welding and business. A scholarship was also awarded to a graduate of Clatsop Community College wishing to pursue an English degree and become a teacher.

Applications are available at seaside-or.aauw.net, and can be either mailed to the Seaside AAUW Scholarship Foundation, P.O. Box 119, Seaside, OR, 97138, or completed and submitted online.

Applications are due April 1. Interviews will be held on April 23.
