Clatsop County is seeking to fill two vacancies on the budget committee.

People can apply to the positions through Nov. 28.

The budget committee is made up of five county commissioners and five residents appointed by commissioners. Members meet in May to review the county budget and make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners.

The two open positions are for terms ending in June 2026.

Applicants from District 2 and District 5 are preferred, though not required. District 2 covers Gearhart, Clatsop Plains and portions of Seaside and Warrenton, while District 5 covers areas southeast of Seaside, including Jewell, Hamlet, Elsie-Vinemaple, Arch Cape and Cannon Beach.

Applications can be submitted online or in person at the county manager’s office at 800 Exchange St., Suite 410, in Astoria.

The Board of Commissioners will make the appointments in January.
