Cannon Beach Chorus begins rehearsals, awards scholarships

The Cannon Beach Chorus begins rehearsals for its winter season on Sept. 4.

The chorus rehearses every Monday night at 6:30 p.m. at the Cannon Beach Community Church, and does not require auditions.

This season, the chorus’ selections focus on the theme “Season of Light, Season of Joy.”

The Cannon Beach Chorus has also recently awarded scholarships to local high school graduates who are pursuing choral music at the collegiate level. The 2023 Carol Homme Scholarship was given to Gracie Klemp and Elizabeth Jesberger, both graduates of Seaside High School. Each student received a $750 scholarship.
