Land conservancy celebrates ground breaking on new conservation center

The North Coast Land Conservancy is hosting an event to celebrate breaking ground on the future Circle Creek Conservation Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 18 at 33000-33004 Rippet Lane in Seaside. Light refreshments will be provided.
The new office building will include spaces where the North Coast Land Conservancy can invite the public for gatherings, hikes and classes. The nature reserve also includes two trails through forests and wetlands that are open for community use.

Currently, the plan is to have the new building operational by the end of 2024. During construction, the Circle Creek reserve and trails will be closed to ensure public safety. For information, go to nclctrust.org.
