CANNON BEACH — Steve Sokolowski, the city’s new community development director, started in the role this month.

Prior to moving to Cannon Beach, Sokolowski spent about 20 years working for Sheboygan, Wisconsin, where he was the manager of planning and zoning.

He started his career in planning in the 1990s for an independent contractor, which placed him in the role of city planner in Hermiston until 2002 before moving to Sheboygan.
