Seaside softball rallies past North Bend

During a 4A play-in game at North Bend on May 19, Seaside trailed 10-0 after two innings. Seaside gradually chipped away at the deficit, then scored six runs in the top of the seventh for a 13-11 win over the Bulldogs.
The victory made it a Seaside softball sweep at North Bend, with the softball game featuring 24 runs on 17 hits and 22 walks, with 11 errors.
The Gulls had just six hits to 11 for the Bulldogs. North Bend had doubles from Sarah Stone and McKenzie Breakfield, who also had a home run to build the early lead.
Seaside’s seventh inning opened with a walk, followed by an error, a walk and two more errors. The Gulls had three hits in the seven-run inning, including a two-run double by sophomore Megan Rahl.
