Vote “no” on Measure 4-221. Please do not eliminate the right to do short-term rental of your home! This measure is nothing but misleading.

Most of us can’t afford to have houses on the coast without being financially subsidized with STR income. Homeowners create significant jobs for locals; guests come and spend money in the local community; and the county makes many hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax revenue that gets used in the community.

My house is way up on the hill; there are no other houses around me. It is an isolated and secluded property. Even this misleading justification for passing this measure does not apply to me. Initiation of this measure is shameful!

Please do not fall for the misinformed justification. Please vote by May 16, and vote “no.”
