Celebrate the community’s restaurants at “Ship & Savor” from 4 to 6:30 p.m. on May 7 at the Seaside Civic and Convention Center. The event is hosted by the Sunset Park and Recreation Foundation and the Seaside Rotary Foundation.

The event was originally named “A Sweet Affaire,” and was renamed “Sip & Savor.” It returns for a final year with a new, nautically-themed name.

This year’s event will support college scholarships for Seaside High School students, youth exchange programs, food and showers for the homeless population and the park district’s holiday programs.

Participating restaurants, wineries, breweries and other businesses include Dooger’s, Bagels by the Sea, The Stand, Seastar Gelato, Seaside Slushies & Dogs, Public Coast Brewery, Seaside Brewery, Bruce’s Candy Kitchen, Good Times and Niblack Events.
