Jeremy Okai Davis

An audience of about 30 turned out for Portland-based artist Jeremy Okai Davis at the Seaside Public Library on Feb. 18. Davis spoke about his artistic career and research of eminent Black historic figures, subjects of his art.

Davis was raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, and is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Davis moved to Portland in 2007, here he has continued his studio practice in addition to working as a graphic designer and illustrator. He is represented by the Elizabeth Leach Gallery.
