Thirty feet of my fence blew down overnight during the Dec. 26 storm. In the morning, I went to my regular coffee shop and told my friend, Dave Leslie, my dilemma and concern my dog would get loose. He told our friend John Allen, and John told Tom Horning and Tom told Scott Howell; together they came over that day to my home and put up a temporary chicken wire fence to contain Rex, my dog. I can’t thank my good neighbors enough for their kindness and generosity.
