Letter: Thank you from AAUW

We on the North Coast of Oregon are fortunate to have a newspaper offering local coverage of our events and happenings. So it was with gratitude that we note R.J. Marx, once again featuring Seaside AAUW scholarships and how they. nourish the career ambitions of our local girls and women.

The article, featuring Seaside AAUW scholarship program and its support of women returning to school and entering STEM fields formerly reserved for men, was outstanding.

AAUW could not do this without the support of our local community over the past 15 years. And now, we have been able to expand our program because of the grants we have received from local businesses like Windermere, and, in particular, Pacific Power Foundation which has allowed us to extend scholarships to girls and women seeking career opportunities in non-traditional fields. We thank all of you for your generosity in supporting us and the opportunity to continue serving our local women and girls.
