Seaside does not need another softball field because we already have one at Wahanna Fields, where the signage says, “Wahanna Fields baseball and softball.” After a parent sued the district several years ago, a girl’s dugout was added, and it’s ready for play.

So why is the school district looking for a new location for a softball field? What’s up with that anyway? And who would pay for it? We taxpayers are already paying through the nose for the new campus on the hill and cannot afford another tax increase.

We do not need another softball field! Let’s use the one we already have!
