Letter: Not just another ‘politician’

I was going to vote for Seth Morrisey. He seems like a good guy and has prior city council experience. I’ve been watching City Council meetings though and I never see him or Marcus Runkle.
The only one there and active is Seamus McVey. I decided to look into him, especially since he isn’t in the voter pamphlet. Even though he’s new to politics, he’s not new at all to public service and he has a lot of experience with the issues that matter the most to me, namely affordable housing, mental health and addictions counseling, and dealing with our homelessness crisis. I personally don’t want another “politician.” I want someone that’s willing to get out there and do the work and not sit behind a desk somewhere. I hope more people will give Seamus a chance and join me in voting for him for Seaside City Council.
