4-H holds lock-in event

A 4-H sponsored youth lock-in for youth in grades fourth to sixth takes place from 6 p.m. Nov. 5 to 8:30 a.m. Nov. 6 at the Astoria/Warrenton/Seaside KOA, 1100 N.W. Ridge Road in Hammond.

The event includes playing games, making crafts, doing community service, having a mock campfire and swimming. The cost is $25, and the signup deadline is Oct. 20. Space is limited. The counselors will be 4-H teens with adult supervision.

4-H is currently recruiting for new members for the 2022 to 2023 4-H year. 4-H is an Oregon State University program that offers its programs equally to all people ages 5 to 19. For information about the event, 4-H membership or 4-H leadership, call Sandra Carlson at 503-325-8573.
