Shirley Smith-Yates and volunteers welcomed families to Laundry Love on Oct. 8. The free laundry event takes place at the Seaside Laundromat the second Saturday of every month, with the goal of washing clothes and bedding for those with low income or without income.

Along with community support, clothing donations are being sought for the winter months. Donated clothing will be given away at the Nov. 12 Laundry Love event, located at 122 S. Roosevelt Drive.
