Volunteers are invited to apply for open positions on the Gearhart Planning Commission. The planning commission consists of seven volunteer, voting members appointed by the mayor and City Council. Terms are four years.

Commissioners include Terry Graff, Don Frank, Sharon Kloepfer, Virginia Dideum, John Mesberg, Judy Schector and Russ Taggard.

Two positions, those of Dideum and Schector, are open for candidates to apply. Dideum and Schector are eligible to reapply.

Meetings are held on the second Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. Occasionally, the planning commission will hold an additional work session. Commission members must be residents or property owners within the city and its urban growth boundary.
