It was a typical nonleague game for the Seaside football team Friday night at Broadway Field — run the ball at will, lock up the game in the first quarter, then coast to another easy victory, this time a 56-12 win over Parkrose.

One week after taking a 23-0 first quarter lead over La Salle, the Gulls led 27-0 after one quarter against the Broncos, then tacked on another 29 points over the final three quarters to improve to 2-1. Parkrose drops to 0-3.

Seaside racked up 524 yards in total offense, 484 on the ground. Seaside’s Jake White finished with three touchdowns and 135 yards rushing on just five attempts (27.0 yards per carry).

In Class 2A and 1A action, No. 4-ranked Colton defeated Knappa 41-0 in nonleague action; and sixth-ranked Jewell topped Crow 41-0 in Class 1A, six-man football.
