Seaside police Lt. Guy Knight has graduated as a member of the 283rd session of the FBI National Academy. The graduation took place at the National Academy in Quantico, Virginia, on Sept. 13.

Knight is the third officer in department history to complete this prestigious program. Previous graduates from the Seaside Police Department include Chief Dave Ham in 2011 and retired Chief Robert Gross in 1995.

Knight joined the Seaside police in September 2009, and attained the rank of sergeant in November 2012. He served as the sergeant detective for the department from 2015 to December 2020, when he was promoted to lieutenant.

Knight is a graduate of Astoria High School and is married with three children.
