‘From Sea to Shining Sea’ band program

The North Coast Symphonic Band concludes its 42nd season with a concert titled “From Sea to Shining Sea” at 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, at the Liberty Theater in Astoria. Brett Paschal will be guest conductor.

The concert features a mix of American favorites, including several marches, medleys and more. The traditional Armed Forces medley, will also be performed, and a rousing rendition of Stars and Stripes Forever. The MC is Brian Bergman.

Concert conductor Paschal is the director of bands at Lewis and Clark College in Portland, where he is also the percussion instructor. He is the drummer for the group, Three Leg Torso.

This concert will be free to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted. The Liberty is located on the corner of 12th and Commercial Street in Astoria. Check the Liberty website for current COVID requirements.

The band’s 43rd season begins this fall, led by the new NCSB director, Terry Dahlgren. Concert dates are Nov. 20, Feb. 12, 2023, April 23, 2023, and July 3, 2023.
