Cyclists riding 3,900 miles over 10 weeks from Oregon to Maine to raise money and awareness for the Fuller Center for Housing’s fight against poverty housing will arrive in Astoria on Saturday after a 17-mile Day 1 orientation ride from Seaside.
They will stay overnight at Peace First Lutheran Church before setting out on a ride to Kelso, Washington, on Sunday.
Over 10 weeks, the Fuller Center Bicycle Adventure will roll through 14 northern-tier states. Along the way, riders will stop for seven different build days with Fuller Center covenant partners.
Riders average about 72 miles of riding per day, and are hosted by churches at most of their overnight stops. For information, go to fullercenterbikeadventure.org/s2s
