6:27 p.m., 1000 block S. Columbia: Caller says his ex is banging on his door and refusing to leave. Police say the matter was resolved.

8:42 p.m., 800 block Necanicum: Caller reports a woman yelling at her child and things being slammed. Caller said she did not actually see this happening, but heard about it.

11:05 p.m., Eleventh and Necanicum: Caller reports a verbal disturbance.

May 4

11:15 a.m., 2400 block U.S. Highway 101/Pine Cove: Caller reports an evicted tenant is banging on their door looking for cans; they said the tenant broke into their trailer a month earlier. The caller was not available to be interviewed but asked police to patrol the area.

4:22 p.m., North Wahanna: Caller says tenant is damaging property at their residence and would like to know options.

5:01 p.m., The Cove: A disturbance is reported.

2:56 a.m., Convention Center parking: A person is told they cannot park in the lot overnight.

8:19 a.m., Rite Aid: A person is warned of unlawful lodging.

8:23 a.m., 400 block 16th Avenue: Caller requests welfare check on her ex-husband who she says is living in a residence without utilities. Officer made contact and reported their findings with the caller.

9:21 a.m., 800 block S. Roosevelt: A caller says their car was illegally entered.

1:45 p.m., East end of Avenue B: Caller reports subject at a transient camp is “tearing things up” and behaving erratically. Subject had left the scene prior to police arrival.

2:02 p.m., Peter Iredale: Water rescue.

Dog bite incident at state park

A dog attack was reported April 28 at 4 p.m. at Arcadia State Park. The reporting party said she was on the beach when contact was made with two people with two dogs. The person holding the leash of a pit bull dropped it and the pit bull attacked the reporting party’s young sheltie. When the reporting party tried to intervene, she was bitten on the hand by the pit bull. Her dog ran across the beach and got to the highway where it ran across the road but was grabbed by someone who returned it to the owner, a 71-year-old woman, who took the dog to the vet in Seaside. She said she did not need medical attention for her hand. The person with the pit bull did not stick around to share their information. The reporting party was told to reach out to Clatsop County Animal Control to report what happened.

Verbal dispute in car draws attention

Troopers went to the Dellmoor Loop May 2 at 9:51 p.m. for a verbal argument between two parties parked in a car on U.S. Highway 101 at milepost 15. The car was located and a Clatsop County deputy located a female walking down the highway not far from Westlake Lane. She was given a courtesy ride to a hotel. The driver of the vehicle, a 28-year-old man who initiated the call, was given a courtesy ride to the same hotel.

Woman arrested on warrant, car towed

Nichole Marie Knutinen, 33, was arrested May 4 at 7:34 p.m. on U.S. Highway 101 and milepost 20 on a warrant issued by the Clatsop County Circuit Court. Her car was towed and she was taken to the county jail and lodged. She was given traffic violation citations before being turned over to jail staff.

Citations issued for driving violations

A man reported for his bad driving May 5 at 9:10 on U.S. Highway 26 at milepost 1.5 westbound was located by troopers; a traffic stop was initiated. After producing proof his identity and asked to perform various field sobriety tests, it was learned the driver, Mykal Rees Davies, 31, is an out-of-compliance sex offender. Troopers arrested him on scene and transported him to the county jail where he refused to sample of blood or breath. A blood warrant was obtained and served to Rees Davies who ultimately provided two samples. He was issued several criminal citations for driving while intoxicated and reckless driving as well as failure to annually report and failure to report a change of residence before being turned over to jail staff. His black Ford Mustang was towed by Triangle Towing.

Patch of ice leads to crash on Highway 26

A two-car crash with injuries reported happened on U.S. Highway 26 at milepost 14 May 8 at 2:50 p.m. One driver lost control after hitting a patch of ice and snow while negotiating a curve, causing them to cross over into incoming traffic to have a head-on collision with another car. A 40-year-old woman from Aloha; with her, a 12 -year-old girl; and a 45-year-old Portland woman, were transported by Medix to Providence Seaside Hospital for injuries. ODOT, Seaside and Hamlet fire departments were on scene. Both cars were towed by Classic Towing.
