Cultural Coalition awards grants for 2021 projects

The Clatsop County Cultural Coalition will distribute a total of $9,500 in grants to six local organizations for projects scheduled to take place during the 2021 calendar year.
The coalition, which is funded by the Oregon Cultural Trust, received applications from 12 organizations around Clatsop County for projects and programs related to arts, heritage and humanities.
Here is a list of this year’s recipients, the amounts rewarded and their intended use:
North Coast Chorale, $2,000: Instrumentalists for a performance of “The Healer,” composed by Karl Jenkins.
Little Ballet Theatre, $2,000: Acquisition of new, safe performance floor for annual “Nutcracker” productions.
Tillicum Foundation, $2,000: Virtual access to performances of music, theater and dance during COVID-19.
Coaster Theatre Playhouse, $1,100: Produce and film two 2021 show for family and patron viewing.
Trail’s End Art Association, $1,200: ADA worktable to expand programs to artists with disabilities.
Partners for the PAC, $1,200: String musician workshop and artist-in-residence program with Delgani String Quartet.
Events and projects will take place between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2021.
