A trip to Seaside’s Wine Walk

On Saturday, May 18, 22 local businesses and regional wineries participated in Seaside’s Downtown Wine Walk, organized and orchestrated by the Seaside Downtown Development Association.

Each business played host to a bartended tasting of an extraordinary selection of Oregon wine. Twenty dollars bought a glass; guided by colorful Wine Walk banners displayed outside participating businesses, participants traversed Seaside on foot to enjoy a plethora of amazing wines from vineyards all over Oregon for a nominal fee of a dollar or two for a quarter-glass.

Slight drizzle did not deter hundreds of people from attending the event. The mood was upbeat and gleeful as many were taking selfies and pictures of friends holding up their glass to post on #seasidewinewalk not just for fun, but to enter a competition for two free tickets to the fall Wine Walk to take place on Nov. 9.

Seaside Downtown Development Association’s next fun event is the Golf Classic happening on Aug. 28. For more information about SDDA and upcoming activities, follow them on Facebook or Instagram @Seasidedowntown.
