The Necanicum Watershed Council presents the 13th annual fundraising event, “Necanicum Bird Discovery Day.”
This year’s event on Saturday, April 13, at the Bob Chisholm Community Center, is once again timed to take full advantage of the spring migratory birds as they pass through Seaside on the Pacific Flyway.
Join the council and friends at 8 a.m. for a morning walk and to learn how to identify migratory birds.
At 10 a.m. at the community center, build and take home a birdhouse, make a fish print, or decorate a reusable bag.
Visit booths from various partners, including Sunset Empire Park and Recreation District, Cape Falcon Marine Reserve, Seaside Aquarium, and Haystack Rock Awareness Program.
Josh Saranpaa, the executive director of the Wildlife Center of the North Coast, will be giving a presentation about wildlife rehabilitation and the wildlife center, why wildlife rehabilitation is important, and how to help.
