SEASIDE — The annual Seaside volleyball tournament took place all day Saturday at Seaside High School.

And the host Gulls finished 2-0 in bracket play, as Seaside won two of three games vs. La Grande (18-25, 25-23, 17-15), and swept Cascade in the tournament finale, 25-16, 25-17.

Warrenton also competed, and posted a 27-25, 17-25, 15-12 win over Ontario, before Cascade defeated the Warriors 25-15, 24-26, 15-8.

The tournament brought in teams from Banks, Catlin Gabel, Corbett, Estacada, Molalla, North Marion, Rainier, Tillamook and Marist Catholic, which scored three-game victories over Tillamook, North Marion and Corbett.

In Coos Bay, Astoria took part in the Marshfield tournament, where the host Pirates defeated Astoria 26-24, 25-17.
