PORTLAND — The Seaside boys soccer team played one final tune-up before league play begins, as the Gulls traveled to Portland to face Catlin Gabel, the No. 1-ranked 3A team.

And the Eagles scored the win, 2-0, dropping Seaside to 3-3 overall.

The Gulls will look to rebound Thursday, when they host Astoria for the Cowapa League opener at Broadway Field.

Astoria vs. Seaside girls soccer action begins at 5:45 p.m., followed by the boys’ game.
