Banks defeats Seaside

BANKS — After winning eight of their first nine games, the Seaside softball team has cooled off, as Banks pounded out 27 hits in a 28-3 win over the Gulls in Cowapa League softball action Friday.

It was the third straight loss for Seaside, which trailed 22-1 after just three innings. The Gulls finished with 10 hits, but committed six errors defensively.

Noel Herb was 4-for-5 with four RBIs to lead Banks, while teammate Mackenzie Davis drove in five runs. The Braves had eight extra base hits.
