Baseball: Valiants score second win over Seaside

BEAVERTON — Valley Catholic overcame a 3-0 deficit through three innings, scoring four in the fifth on its way to a 5-3 win over Seaside in Cowapa League baseball action Monday.
James Baglai highlighted the fourth-inning rally by the Valiants with a two-run double, as Valley Catholic topped Seaside for the second time in a week.
In a three-run third inning for the Gulls, Isaias Jantes had a run-scoring single, and Duncan Thompson drove in two runs with a double.
Seaside pitchers Brayden Johnson and Gage McFadden allowed just five hits, with six strikeouts, four walks and two hit batters.
Meanwhile, Valley Catholic pitchers Porter Agnew and George Eisenhardt combined on a three-hitter, with 10 strikeouts and four walks.
