12:03 p.m., 500 block S. Prom: Vehicle damage and criminal mischief were reported.

4:09 p.m., 1200 block Avenue B: A disturbance was reported.

Oct. 7

7:48 a.m., Oceanway: A motor vehicle hit and run is reported.

1:58 p.m., Shoreline and Semaphore 10A: A person reported missing is later located walking in town.

2:19 p.m., Avenue A: Caller reports a woman picking flowers by the Subway sandwich shop. Caller says the woman is “falling over.” Police arriving on scene determine the woman is ok and not a danger to others or herself. She is warned against picking flowers.

Oct. 8

4:52 a.m., 400 block S. Roosevelt: Police respond to a report of a suicidal subject. Upon their arrival, the subject requests transport to the hospital for evaluation.

12:45 p.m., Seaside Police Headquarters: A person came in to register as a sex offender.

2:33 p.m., 200 block 1st Avenue: Police respond to a report of a woman waking up in a hotel room she didn’t pay for. She is disoriented. Police say she was in the wrong room.

7:41 p.m., N. Holladay: Police assist in locating an elderly woman with dementia who became separated from her sister while they are on holiday. The woman was found and reunited with her relative.

Oct. 9

11:26 a.m., Avenue U and the beach: Police begin a fire investigation.

12:58 p.m. 2900 block Sunset: A grass or brush fire is reported and subsequently extinguished.

6:25 p.m., 300 block S. Roosevelt: A person reported to be having a screaming fit was gone on police arrival.

7:14 p.m., Seaside Police Headquarters: A person came in to register as a sex offender.

8:56 p.m. 400 block Broadway: A man said to be passed out on the sidewalk is given a courtesy ride home by police.

9:28 p.m., Pocket Park: An intoxicated man is given a courtesy ride home after police determine this is the best course of action.

11:24 p.m., Oceanway: A person is arrested on a warrant.

Oct. 10

9:15 a.m. 2400 block Ocean Vista: Police respond to a report of a man going around knocking on doors and attempting to look in windows. Subject left the area before police could locate.

4:18 p.m., Avenue A: A motor vehicle hit and run accident is reported.

9:59p.m., Seaside police station: A 5-inch blade custom-looking knife is turned in as found property.

Oct. 11

12:09 a.m., 2400 block S. Roosevelt: A person is cited for misuse of 911.

4:14 a.m., 2400 block S. Roosevelt: Another misuse of 911 is reported at the same residence.

1:10 p.m., 1100 block Broadway: Police respond to a report of one person said to have shoved another person in the locker room of a business. An internal report is being done; police were asked to trespass the subject from the property. The subject denied any physical contact and said the altercation was verbal only. The subject called the reporting person a liar. A trespass notice was issued.

3:05 p.m., N. Holladay: Hotel staff reported finding items left in a room including a firearm. The tenant of the room said the booking was made in error and they were not planning on leaving that day. All items, including the firearm, were returned to the owner.

3;51 p.m., N. Holladay: A juvenile reported as a runaway returned home of their own accord.

Oct. 12

5:06 p.m., Seaside police station: A person came in for their annual sex registration.

Oct. 13

2:03 a.m., Seaside Providence Hospital: Police were called to trespass an unwanted person; they stood as possible assistance while hospital security removed the individual from the premises.

2;19 a.m., Seaside library: A person sleeping on the grounds is advised to move along.

7:58 a.m., 1600 block Broadway: A person called to report a neighbor’s spitting from their upstairs apartment, the spit was landing on the caller’s stoop. Officers contacted the neighbor and advised them of the complaint. The neighbor said they would stop spitting.

9:26 a.m. Lea Way: An assault in the fourth degree is reported. The person alleged to have been doing the assaulting attempted to interfere with the officer making the report.

9:25 a.m., 700 block S. Downing: A property manager asked for police assistance removing guests from a room she said she was unaware had been rented to them by one of her staff. She said the guests were drug users. Their credit card had also been declined. The subjects were removed from the room and trespassed.

Oct. 14

7:34 p.m., 700 block Avenue R: A subject was charged with criminal trespass in the first degree.

7:48 p.m., 2400 block S. Roosevelt: Police turn off the ignition of a car reported to be running for 2 hours with no one in it. The vehicle was secured.

10:46 p.m., Seaside post office: Officers ask a person camping in the post office lobby to move along.

Oct. 15

8:03 a.m., Airport: Police assist in moving elk reported blocking the runway.

11:15 a.m., Highway 101: Police respond to a report of a man lying alongside the highway. The man is extremely intoxicated. Medix arrives to transport him to the hospital for detox.

1:29 p.m., 1100 block S. Prom: Police respond to a report of a transient camp set up on the trail heading to the beach. The lone transient agreed to break up camp and move on.

Oct. 16

11:35 a.m., Avenue A by the U.S. Bank: A barefoot woman sitting on the curb attracted the attention of a concerned passerby. The woman was gone before police arrived; a search of the neighborhood had negative results.

12:10 p.m., McDonald’s: A man passed out in a restroom stall is roused and trespassed indefinitely.

6:23 p.m., Highway 101: Police respond to a report of a possibly suicidal female; the woman is located in Cannon Beach by an Oregon State Trooper and transported to the hospital for evaluation.

1:24 p.m., The Cove: Rescue units respond to a surfer in distress.

6:37 p.m., 12th Avenue: Police respond to a report of an elk calf in distress. The calf had become separated from the herd. The calf was safely reunited with its herd prior to police arrival.

Oct. 17

3:05 a.m., Pocket Park: A person is charged with unlawful lodging.

Oct. 18

12:07 a.m.. Avenue G and the Prom: A dog bite is reported.

4:51 a.m., Avenue S: A person is charged with offensive littering on the side of Safeway market. Ten minutes earlier, another officer made contact with a person in the same location sleeping in their vehicle.

3:43 p.m., Safeway: An altercation that broke out just outside the can room at Safeway was deemed to be verbal in nature only. Safeway employees requested police trespass the persons from the premises; the officer also cited them for disorderly conduct.

7:24 p.m., 800 block Avenue M: Officers respond to a report of a couple fighting. The man left the premises prior to police arrival. Police checking the area are unable to locate. The fight was verbal in nature only.

Oct. 19

10:23 a.m., Highway 101 and the High School: Elk reported in the road were actually in an adjacent field alongside the road and not a traffic hazard.

10:36 a.m., Shore Terrace and Wahanna: An argument from the day before spilled over into the next day. Parties separated after each was cited with disorderly conduct in the second degree.
