Art and nature at Fairweather Gallery

Art aficionados flocked to the Seaside First Saturday Art Walk an opening reception for “Shadows,” an exhibition that focuses on the interplay of light and dark through selected art that expresses time as the fall season progresses. New artwork by Northwest artists Diane Copenhaver, Gregory Bell, Janet Hickox, Lisa Wiser, Whelsey Whelp, Tamara Johnson and Marga Stanley was featured.

Seaside and Gearhart naturalist Neal Maine spoke about the ecology of the local habitatJosh Saranpaa introduced “Flynn,” an American kestrel, from the Wildlife Center of the North Coast.
The next art walk is scheduled for Nov. 5, from 5-7 p.m.
