Seaside Police issued a reminder that downtown area has a three-hour time limit per space for parking on the city streets during the daytime hours of 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This restriction includes Roosevelt Avenue (Highway 101) to the Promenade and 1st Avenue to Avenue A.
In order to help observe the three hour time limit this summer, a work experience college student will be monitoring parking, providing informational assistance to visitors, and generally patrolling on foot the Seaside downtown area.
Parking fines for most parking offenses are $25, including exceeding time limits in a parking space. Fines for parking illegally in a handicapped parking space or in a fire lane have fines of $360 for each violation.
