Astoria High School Class of 1972 reunion

The Astoria High School Class of 1972 is celebrating their 45th high school reunion Astoria Regatta Festival weekend, with events planned for Friday evening, Aug. 11, and Saturday evening, Aug. 12.

The kick-off event will be a casual evening on Friday at Clatsop Community College at 1651 Lexington Ave., starting at 5:30 p.m. at Columbia Hall, second floor. Fultano’s pizza will be served, there will be a no-host bar; $15 per person.

The “main event” will be held at the Barbey Maritime Center located directly east of the Columbia River Maritime Museum on Saturday evening, Aug. 12, starting at 5:30 p.m.; $35 per person.

Class of ’72 alumnus Jim Dunagan has created and recorded the music program for both evenings. Saturday evening’s venue will also have a front row seat for the annual Astoria Regatta Festival Boat Parade on the Columbia River, and the annual Astoria Regatta Festival fireworks display occurring directly east of the Maritime Center later in the evening.
