Gearhart ArtWalk coming July 4

- A Great Gallery in Gearhart, one of the featured stores on the Fourth of July ArtWalk.
The Gearhart ArtWalk takes place the first Saturday of every month. On Saturday, July 4, 2-5 p.m., look for “Welcome to the Shore” flags indicating participating merchants and an updated ArtWalk map showing locations. Gearhart ArtWalk business merchants include:

The gallery presents collectible postcard “Celebrating America” from the Eagle collection, a limited edition postcard hand-printed, produced for the Fourth of July celebration. Guests will have the opportunity to win an original portrait of their pet by local resident and fellow pastel artist, Deanne Johnson, to be drawn during the ArtWalk.
“Taste of Something New” previews the shell series. Guests are invited to sample the gallery’s unique hand-dipped chocolates.

Pacific Crest Cottage will be serving American Flag Cake by Simply Cakes by Jae, Buoy Beer will offer tastings of their crafted beer and Barbara Gaidosh will provide a background of Acoustic Guitar and vocals. New paintings by Wim Vlek and Glen Raschick will be displayed throughout the shop.

Trail’s End Art Association, 656 A Street, 503-717-9458; trailsendart.org. Trail’s End Art Association celebrates the Fourth with its 65th Annual Judged Competition. Bring the family for the “after parade” activities for kids and bargain tables of original art and supplies for everybody else, 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., on the lawn of the Trail’s End Art Center. Visit the exhibit of art submitted by artists from all over the area. This event is the only judged competition held at Trail’s End. This year’s judges will be present to offer their perspective on the winning artwork at the artists’ reception Saturday, July 4, 2-5 p.m. Refreshments will be served.
