Longtime Seaside resident and musician Carey Buerk will be holding a second concert to benefit the South County Community Food Bank.

The event will take place at the United Methodist Church, 241 N. Holladay Dr., starting at 2 p.m. June 14. The church’s choir also will perform some music.

Buerk, who is a pianist, plays a wide repertoire of musical pieces, including covers and classical works. He put on a similar concert, titled Thanks For Giving, in November, to help the pantry express gratitude for the completion of its new building on North Roosevelt Drive and the community that made it possible.

The concert is free and open to the public, but attendees are welcome to make a tax-deductible monetary or food donation to the pantry, located at 2041 N. Roosevelt Dr. Light refreshments will be served after the concert.

The pantry is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays to receive donations and from 2 to 4 p.m. for people to receive food. For more information, call (503) 738-9800 or visit the South County Community Food Bank Facebook page.
