Strong vision
To the editor,
At last South County voters get their chance to vote for a county commissioner to represent their interests! You have two choices: Dale Barrett or Lianne Thompson. Of these two, Lianne is by far the best.
(1) Lianne listens before she speaks, and she works to find common ground and develop plans that get results.
(2) Lianne has experience with public policy and a strong vision for Clatsop County. She will work to support an economy that is locally owned, diverse and ecologically sustainable. For those of us who care about the quality of life and safety in Clatsop County, it is important to be aware of what some people (backed by big money) are willing to do to it. She is an anti-LNG candidate. Her opponent is a pro-LNG candidate.
(3) Lianne is currently the vice chair of the Clatsop County Planning Commission. She also sits on the Cannon Beach Community Food Systems Board and has packed many backpacks for hungry school children. She has also worked for the (state) Department of Geology and Mineral Industries to help communities prepare for tsunamis and other catastrophic events.
Please vote for Lianne Thompson in September so that she may join re-elected Scott Lee and newly elected Lisa Tarabochia Clement on the Clatsop County Board of Commissioners.
